Randomly Sherene
17th April 2011
Made it through winter. cold in temperature, challenging personally & professionally, but also inspiring. I'm evolving and it feels good. I'll be moving to a better state of mind, the rent is free in a very upscale choice neighborhood. the weather is perfect most days, and i was told that being a resident in a better state of mind lends to a more efficient happier sherene. WHY didn't i move there way back when? well, maybe my old neighborhood of stressed, overworked, and no play will enable me to appreciate my better state of mind digs.
I'm opening up my own studio soon! yay for YOU and yours truly. as posted on facebook "chandeliers, leopard print, pink, silver, glitz & velvet oh my" there have been signs all around me lately to STOP slow down and enjoy the moment and that happiness is a state of mind. my body spiritually has been running on empty while i've been so tweezer happy. today is 20 days straight of my self induced bikram yoga challenge. that's right i've been to yoga 20 days in a row at 90 minutes a pop. i'm doing postures in class that's designated "me time" that rival a circus performer. i feel good lengthening and strengthening my outside and toning and firming up my attitude. I'm still overworked, i'm still stressed, but yoga helps. i still want a lash/personal assistant. i still want every client i lash to lay before me with squeakly clean lashes. i want my precious brood to live on forever. i want zoomie to come back to his momma and tell me he is ok, tell me that I'M ok. but since i've moved into my new place better state of mind i can handle it all and feel blessed. i want to all who read this to know how grateful i am for my life and for most of the choices i've made. i've had setbacks but know how i cope will determine my success. you all will reap the benefits of a new improved sherene.
so, about the new diva den! i'm so excited about it and invite you all to come see it. if i could've constructed it with chocolate walls and donut couches i would've! but walt disney would've been upset that my lash diva den would be a bigger attraction than sleeping beauty's castle. i offer 2 sleeping beauty castles where one diva to be comes to lie down to have lashes extended, dipped, scultped, brows reshaped and wakes up to face scottsdale a better woman. FYI the new studio is also strategically located within pleasant walking distance from Fashion Square Mall. How fab is that?
Stay tuned, as more suprises shall be unveiled.
What makes me your "ItGirl"?
"It takes a lot of work to figure out how to look so good." ~ Andy Warhol
Last night i was out & about in Scottsdale. I ran into 2 lovely ladies that i lash & i was reveling in them looking great & exuding confidence/having a great time. Their lashes is just part of what makes them look so great, but upon seeing me they both were suprised & very friendly. I truly love helping/giving to women that gives them that extra "oomph" no matter where they are, what they're doing, i love knowing that they know i'm in their cheering section rooting them on to be the best they can be in looking and being fabulous. whenever i can i offer whatever tips i have or give whatever i can to render that boost of a more confident better woman lurking to come out. in a bittersweet way this was reinforced to me when i was in the bathroom and i saw a woman who had the most gorgeous boots on, and i couldn't wait to ask her where she got them from. whenever i receive inquisitions about what i'm wearing, who does my hair, where did i get so & so not only do i tell whoever asks, but i go that extra mile and give a sample or make sure they walk away with a contact. it's girl code to be there for each other and support each other, especially when we're out & about right?? well, the lady with the boots i was drooling for looked me up and down and replied "i don't know, i've had these boots for 8 years". i smiled & was sure to say that the boots looked great on her. the boots were obviously new, not one scuff mark on them, her friend nearby asked her "why didn't you just tell her where you got them?" i didn't hear the reply, i already knew. . . this girl just wasn't the "ItGirl" like I am, in your cheering section rooting you on, helping in whatever way she can. i'm a rare breed that way a woman who's always got your back. that's why any woman can trust me to help them be the best. while warhol is right, it DOES take a lot of thought to look so great, it won't be as taxing on you as long as you have a TRUE ItGirl like me to help. Airbrush tan, make-up, lashes, massage, you name it, i'm the one you can sincerely TRUST to have you look so good. Because i've got a beautiful heart on the inside and out, that's why you're always going to look so fabulous if i have any say so about it. i am grateful for every single woman who feels my sincerity to help her be the best version of herself ever.

Indeed true elegance is not being aware of what you wear, but who you are. I highly encourage the mink lashes upgrade because you won't feel a thing, including any guilt (mink lashes are harvested from live animals and absolutely 100% cruelty free). Mink lashes are so lightweight, fluffy and voluminous! not at all heavy or cumbersome, best of all these black shiny beautiful hairs are durable, withstanding the wear of your own lashes & extensions. You can be nonchalant with eyes of ermine & endless elegance but no one else will forget as they're constantly reminded when seeing your beeyooo tee ful lashes! If you mention this blog during your consultation, or lash application then please enjoy a mink upgrade for only $25, regularly $75, advertised on special for $50. The saying "it pays" to do this or that is sensible, in this case it SAVES to read It Girl DIVA tips & get in touch with your inner beauty.

these days i don't worry about being entertained or keeping others in good company, no matter how big or small they are known to others. the trick is to enjoy the small things that allow me to be a "better" sherene making me more lively to others. i love the sound of unscrewing the cap off a great lip gloss, bringing the wand out of the tube, to my awaiting lips of the glistening moist shimmery emollient. i love it when i just slide in my favorite pair of jeans without having to shove my muffin top belly inside the unforgiving denim without hopping around the room. you can feel extra special any day you want by stopping by my "Diva Den" & sampling any & all my 4 great shades of Xtreme lashes shimmery glitter liner, free of obligation. my special tip: lightly brush the wand across the LASHES, lashes will sparkle & TRUST ME, NO one will yawn.
p.s. another great quote by the political great kissinger:
"No one will ever win the battle of sexes, there's too much fraternizing with the enemy." ah tis true, tis true.
today's date 1/1/11. will never see those numbers together like that again. all day long it's been 1/11/11. then tomorrow it's a memory. just like yesterday when the year was 2010. i welcome 2011 with great energy & the resolve to make the most of my time. i am not one to do new years resolutions but because 2010 was a challenging year, the most difficult lessons brought to me, fingers crossed 2010 history will never repeat itself again. As difficult as 2010 was, i still celebrate and fondly recall some highlights:
my visit to laguna beach was especially beautiful and cathartic at the same time. I returned to Laguna beach for the 1st time since 1998. I returned to the beautiful beach community 12 years later time without the great love of my life: Zoomie Bon Boomie, my beloved Italian Greyhound. As a young puppy Zoomie ran on the "main beach". This is one of my fondest memories of my canine child. All his life he was the joy of mine. Zsazsa Bon Boomie and I were broken hearted when Zoomie died this past April 24th 2010. We still grieve him. "Joujou" was introduced to our sad home early May and in his own right just a beautiful sweet wonderful little dog. He's 7 year old Italian Greyhound. I packed up the car and both Zsazsa & Joujou were able to run on the same beach as Zoomie. Driving to Laguna was an event, as i wanted to commerate Zoomie. I NEVER drive to an out of state vacation no matter how "big" long or short the vacay. True diva sheen likes to hop a plane. That summer zoomie was with me in Laguna i travelled by car. I think of Zoomie all the time and found my trip to Laguna restorative not to mention new memories made with my Zsazsa and Joujou. The weather was great and i laid on the beach and journaled, walked along the shops in the main strand and loved knowing that Zoomie had been the same places with me years before.
another highlight of my year: Bojack! the universe heard my pleas and brought zoomie back to me in way, with Bojack returning to my house to live with me and his mommy Zsazsa. Zoomie sired a litter of puppies in Feb. 2001 whence Bojack was born from. His owner of nearly 10 years was relocated to Washington where dogs would not be able to live, so I was contacted and asked to care for Bojack. "Bobo baby" is great, however mischevious and loves to tip the trash can over (just like Zoomie) and eat whatever whenever possible. Out of the worst loss in my life my family of canine children grew! These dogs when not lashing are my companions, my life.
I camped at Moabi national reserve in August with new & old friends. This was primitive camping as our deluxe vacation style tent didn't provide respite from the intense sun beating down on us, sand slapping us in the face, granules staying stuck to us as if we were velcro. I joked that our tent could serve as a bikram yoga studio and was teased about bringing my laptop so i could engage in my daily ritual of surfing the net and packing my gear in my big pink salmon suitcase. Fun in the sun still prevailed! As great spirits literally and the ones you drink and great company triumphed through harsh elements. Pictures from this trip are indeed humorous and i proved that i can still be a diva in the desert with my chanel scarf to serve as my "doo rag" and Gucci sunglasses to reflect the sun away from my well injected face. (thanks dr. hall of inifini skin)
the fall of 2010, still knee deep in the throws of boy troubles as i had been all year long were still as gut wrenching but a decision was made. Even though i may want and love a person, it doesn't mean it's meant to be and that it's real. To my friends who listened without judgement and truly heard me, i cannot thank you enough. In Sept of 2010 i was picked to serve on team La Bella Vita Lash Diva to lash on the set of VH-1's reality show "The real housewives of the dallas cowboys" while taping. I'm in the show for maybe 3 seconds total, my fingers holding tweezers a bit longer. This show featured Amanda Davis who is a personal client of Xtreme Lash senior lash trainer Dr. Johnyee Beasely having a "girl" party for another cast member Dawn. Again, it was very flattering to be picked to showcase my lash talents and bestow lash love to others.
Oct. 2010: I travelled to NYC for LashDip semi permanent mascara training! NYC in the fall is the most wonderful time of the year, and also most expensive. I pulled the trip together last minute to quell the arian desire of adventure that consumed me. Thank you to Rachel H. of Philly and Ria Hountas Pagliaro flying home early from the west coast to come out and join me for an evening NYC style. Such a connection was made! I'm looking forward to Ria's visit to the valley of the sun in just 12 short days. Another great bonus to going to NYC is meeting the innovators of LashDip and feeling their passion for the revolutionary new service. Anything lashes is a meticulous dedicated art form that only (just my opinion) those with the passion and love for it truly give a great experience like i do. It's not how much lash time or experience in years i have that make me great at lash styling, it's my caring dedicated passion. Also, it helps that i have no committments or restraints on time that keep me from styling lashes till the very end of YOUR day. I am fortunate to love what i do. Another awesome time was had by me and old friend Audra Marie. Don't you just love igniting and reconnecting with an old friend? She drove up from Indian Mills New Jersey and had the best time over dinner recounting days of yore when we resided on the same floor in Manzanita dorms at ASU. Then another drink or two made us marvel at how she's become a wonderful mom to her beautiful little girls with a dedicated husband and father and loves her job as administrator at a vetrinarians office, and how i remained unmarried, childless and a true concierge to all those in search of more beauty in their lives.
I continue to be a lasher in love with all the lashes, all kinds! Short, dense, curly, fine, thick, straight. . . give them all to me, and i will turn your lashes into weapons of mass seduction! Hans Blix will not report he didn't find anything after spending a few minutes face time talking with you i promise!
I'd like clients recent and from the beginning of my lash time to know how much i appreciate you entrusting your precious eyes for me to pamper. Nothing has changed when i said this back in 2008 "I promise to give you my very best". Special mention to tia, suzanne, maria, and Nicole who really were there for me after losing my precious Zoomie. I love to give love but it's good to receive it too.
In the new year i hope to not ooze so much over my lash chair. I think just a healthier diet and a few yoga classes can fix this flabby mess i've gotten myself into.
I solicit feedback however negative or positive so i can learn from it and be the best there is for you!
Happy New Year!
